Siendo Puente has been curated to raise funds, specifically for building the capacity of Mi Patria PR’s Art & Culture Programs. Your support will allow Mi Patria PR to strengthen internal systems, purchase art supplies, invest in musical instruments, expand staffing, and lead important art, music and culture workshops in public schools that are essential to carrying out our mission of combating displacement, supporting veterans, and stabilizing communities across the island.

This event is rooted in creativity, connection, and collective responsibility, this gathering bridges art and action, healing and service, and most importantly, the Puerto Rican diaspora and the homeland (la patria). Through visual art, spoken word, music, and storytelling, we highlight the arts as a tool for holistic healing, particularly for veterans and community members impacted by trauma, displacement, and systemic instability.

Mi Patria PR’s work is grounded in trust, accountability, and proven stewardship. We have been honored to receive support from respected institutional and community partners, including the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, CENTRO for Puerto Rican Studies, and Trend Vibez Agency. Their investment reflects confidence in our ability to responsibly manage funds while delivering measurable impact in the communities we serve.

This gathering also serves as a call to the Puerto Rican diaspora: an invitation to remain actively connected to the island through sustained support and shared responsibility. Rather than charity at a distance, Siendo Puente is about cultivating relationships — ensuring that the work of rebuilding, healing, and community empowerment is led with intention, care, and long-term commitment.
