Connecting Art, Veterans, Community, and Action

Dear Community Partner / Business Leader / Friend of Mi Patria PR,

We are honored to invite you to support Siendo Puente | Being a Bridge – Connecting Art, Veterans, Community, and Action, an intentional fundraising gathering taking place on March 28, 2026, from 3:00–7:00 p.m., at Lumin – Eco Community Café, located 90 Laurel Ave. Union, New Jersey.

Siendo Puente is more than an event, it is a crossing point. Rooted in creativity, connection, and collective responsibility, this gathering bridges art and action, healing and service, and most importantly, the Puerto Rican diaspora and the homeland (la patria).

Through visual art, spoken word, music, and storytelling, we uplift the arts as a tool for holistic healing, particularly for veterans and community members impacted by trauma, displacement, and systemic instability. When creativity is paired with service, it becomes a pathway toward restoration for individuals, and communities.

This event also serves as a call to the diaspora: an invitation to remain actively connected to Puerto Rico through sustained support and shared responsibility. Rather than charity at a distance, Siendo Puente fosters relationship, accountability, and long-term commitment to the communities we serve.

We respectfully invite you to support this gathering through a donation or sponsorship. All contributions directly strengthen the operational capacity of Mi Patria PR, allowing us to coordinate and sustain programs that combat displacement, support veterans, and promote community stability throughout Puerto Rico. By investing in the infrastructure behind the service — planning, compliance, coordination, and stewardship — you help ensure that our impact remains effective and sustainable.

Thank you for considering walking this bridge with us, and for helping transform creativity into action, and community into something we build together.

With gratitude,

The Mi Patria PR Board Members
