Sara Afayee

Sara Afayee is a seasoned grants and contracts professional, with over 13 years in federal government and non-profit experience in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).  During her tenure at HHS, Sara was a Branch Chief in the Bureau of Health Workforce (BHW) and supervised a staff of two team leads and 16 project officers, with a branch budget of $200M. 

Sara was a director at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing where she served as a project director and subject matter expert on pharmaceutical, state, federal and local level grants and contracts focused on mental health projects. She graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelors in Social Work, and from University of Michigan with a Masters in Social Work.
